Pickford has made 42 appearances, keeping 20 clean sheets, and has never made an error leading to a goal. After an error against United in 2020, Keane said on Sky Sports: “Don’t give me that, when I hear that, ‘the ball is moving’, of course it’s going to move when someone kicks it!“I don’t need to see those stats, he’s not a good goalkeeper.“We’re talking about Everton making progress as a football club.”The former Republic of Ireland international even called for Pickford to be dropped in favour of Nick Pope for Euro 2020 due to his club form during the 2020/21 campaign.
