.KatyPerry, MavisStaples & NorahJones announced for David Lynch Foundation Benefit Concert
. The concert will take place at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 11 and help bring Transcendental Meditation to 10,000 people in the D.C. area.
“I’ll be in DC for a special acoustic set for the #SilencetheViolence Benefit Concert,” Perry wrote on Instagram today . “Mavis Staples and Norah Jones will be joining me to help raise funds for the David Lynch Foundation to bring one of the most important tools I use to keep me balanced and creative with a positive mindset – transcendental meditation – to at-risk youth.”
The event will benefit the Meditation Center and the humanitarian mall THEARC. THEARC provides access to high quality educational, health, cultural, recreation and social service programs to the D.C. area.
Presale for Silence the Violence go on sale Tuesday. General admission tickets will be available on Friday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. EST.
