Katie Holmes got her big break on The WB’s hit teen soap, “Dawson’s Creek,” but it didn’t take long for the actress to transcend television. From starring in blockbusters like “Batman Begins” and “Thank You For Smoking” to taking the Broadway stage by storm, Katie’s had one successful career in Hollywood.
Suri Cruise is taking style cues from her stylish mother, Katie Homes.The duo coordinated in baggy denim looks for a rainy day in New York City today.The Dawson’s Creek alum’s choice of denim was a pair of blue high-waisted bell-bottom jeans. She wore them with a cozy tan sweater with a bulky ribbed turtleneck. And over it, she layered on a breezy beige trench coat. The lightweight outerwear also matched the tone of Holmes’s leather shoulder bag.
Holmes’s 18-year-old daughter took a more street-style approach to her ensemble, wearing her baggy blue jeans with a workwear-inspired denim jacket featuring big pockets and a tan suede collar. Underneath, she wore a white graphic cropped tee. For footwear, Cruise kept it practical with a pair of tan suede Birkenstock clogs, and like her mom, accessorized with some simple gold jewelry.The mother and daughter are often seen out together in the city.
