In an appearance Sunday on CNN's 'State of the Union,' Britt placed part of the blame for the attack on the Biden administration.

During the interview, Britt told Tapper she spoke to the parents of Drew Dauphin and the heartbreak from his mother was “unimaginable.”The senator immediately went on to blame Pres. Joe Biden’s administration’s policies for the attacks. “And when you rewind from where this came from, in my opinion, this was a direct result of Biden’s failed policies across the world,” she said. “When you look at the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. We know that“We cannot allow these things to happen on American soil,” Britt added.
The FBI identified the driver as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen and Army veteran from Texas as the perpetrator of the attack. Jabbar drove a pickup truck that bore the flag of the Islamic State into a crowd of revelers celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street.
