New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said Saturday that people in the Empire State who vote for Republican candidates are 'anti-American' and 'anti-woman.'
WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 03: New York Gov. Kathy Hochul speaks to reporters after a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House on July 03, 2024 in Washington, D.C.
Gov. Hochul told Al Sharpton, host of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” that former President Donald Trump’s Oct. 27 rally in New York City allowed her to remind people voting for Republican candidates that they have “trashed” American values. The governor added that those voters have “trashed” what the U.S. is about, a move they will “wear” on Election Day.
“I was disgusted by, first of all, the lineup of individuals who just spewed such hatred about every person you can imagine, whether it’s women, people of color, and now, to single out Puerto Ricans,” she said.
