Kate Middleton has a “close relationship” with King Charles III and he’s “very lucky” to have her as part of the family, royal author Katie Nicholl tells OK! .
Meanwhile, it was revealed Kate, who turns 41 next week, has taken over an important royal role from her husband Prince William, as she becomes Colonel of the Irish Guards Buckingham Palace said three members of the family have been appointed Colonels within the Foot Guards, including Camilla as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.
There will be no change to the existing Colonelcies of the other Regiments within the Household Division, the Palace said.
