The British public have backed Kate Middleton in the wake of the announcement that she has been diagnosed with cancer, despite widespread criticism of the public relations strategy surrounding her absence from royal duties, a new poll has revealed.Some 61 percent of respondents in a survey of 4,064 British adults conducted on March 25 by YouGov said they think the 'right' amount of information about Kate's health has been made public.
These included Hollywood actress Blake Lively and late-night host Stephen Colbert.Despite the criticism of the way the palace handled the distribution of information around Kate's illness prior to her cancer announcement, the new survey results provide royal aides with a public opinion boost.YouGov asked the surveyed group of adults on March 25 the following question: 'Catherine, Princess of Wales, has released a video of herself explaining she is receiving treatment for cancer.
