Good Morning Britain 's Kate Garraway has been thrown a lifeline by her generous friends as she deals with a staggering £1.65million in debt. The beloved ITV presenter is currently enjoying some downtime with her family after her "amazing" pals arranged for her to borrow a shiny new car.
She reflected on the bittersweet moment, noting how the vehicle would have been ideal for transporting Derek due to its ample space for a hoist and wheelchair. "Feels like old times with hands on an @volvocars wheel, although bitter sweet as this would have been the perfect car to carry Derek in and out of with plenty of room for a hoist and wheelchair in the back.
Following the tragic loss of her husband Derek, Kate has been left to grapple with not only emotional turmoil but also a significant financial burden. Despite earning a substantial income from ITV, the cost of Derek's care over the past few years has outstripped her earnings as she continues to manage everyday household bills and mortgage payments.
Kate's financial troubles were further compounded after closing down Derek's company, Asta Aspera, reportedly resulting in a bill of £150,000. On top of this, a flat fee of £32,000 plus 40% of assets recovered from the psychotherapeutic business added to her monetary concerns, according to a report in The Sun.
