Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway was forced to interrupt the show for a 'breaking news' announcement after 51 people died in flash floods in Spain.
The ITV presenter informed viewers that 51 individuals had lost their lives in Valencia, Spain, due to the flash floods."It has to do with the situation in Spain that Laura was referencing earlier. At least 51 people have been killed now in flash floods in south-eastern parts of Spain, officials there have just confirmed that.["
Massive rainstorms resulted in mud-coloured waters sweeping through areas from Malaga down to Valencia on its east coast, leading to at least 50 fatalities, as per emergency teams in the region. More individuals are feared missing or deceased in the affected regions of the country. The Mayor of Utiel, Ricardo Gabaldon, informed RTVE that several people have been trapped in their homes.
In other news that dominated GMB today, attention was drawn to the teenager accused of fatally stabbing three young girls in Southport.
