Kate Forbes claims SNP has 'given up' trying to persuade more Scots to back independence
Kate Forbes has claimed the SNP has "given up" on trying to persuade more Scots to support independence.
Party chiefs have previously warned that support would need to be consistently near 60 per cent for the Yes side to be confident of victory at a future IndyRef2. "I would bring a willingness to reach out beyond Yes voters, to properly listen to No voters - to not offend them, and listen to them, and bring them on board.
"The difficulty to date has been is they're saying no, and they know they can get away with it - because there hasn't been that sustained majority support."
