French Open runner-up Karolina Muchova has pulled out of the WTA Finals because of an injured right wrist. She will be replaced in the field for the season-ending tournament in Cancún, México, by Maria Sakkari. The eighth-ranked Muchova would have been making her debut at the WTA Finals.

But as the first alternate, she moved in because of Muchova’s withdrawal.
