Karine Jean-Pierre doubled down on her assertion that recent videos of President Biden were 'cheap fakes,' and sounded off on 'misinformation' during an interview on MSNBC.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre doubled down Tuesday on claiming 'cheap fake' videos of President Biden were being circulated online and argued there was 'so much misinformation' coming from conservatives. 'It's also very insulting to the folks, the viewers who are watching it. And so we believe we have to call that out. We've been calling it cheap fakes.
Jean-Pierre also called the videos 'deepfakes' during the press briefing on Tuesday. 'And instead of talking about the president’s performance in office, and what I mean by that is his legislative wins, what he’s been able to do for the American people across the country, we’re seeing these deepfakes, these manipulated videos. And it is, again, done in bad faith,' she said.
