Hunt, who previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs, was placed on the commissioner's exempt list last fall following news that he was involved in an altercation with a woman at a Cleveland hotel in February of 2018. He was not arrested, but TMZ Sports published footage of the incident, which showed him shoving and kicking the woman.
The team distributed another apology from Hunt on Friday in which he indicated that he will not appeal the league's ruling.“I want to again apologize for my actions last year. I know that my behavior hurt a lot of people, and I again apologize to them," he said. "I respect the league’s decision on discipline, and I appreciate the time I spent with Commissioner [Roger] Goodell last week.
