The Browns running back revealed where one of his sideline celebrations came from in Cleveland's big win against the Cardinals Sunday.
Kareem Hunt said then he and David Njoku got the inspiration for some of their sideline fun from SpongeBob and, specifically, the Squidward Talent Show.With 7:48 to go in the Browns’ 27-0 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, Kareem Hunt had just scored Cleveland’s final touchdown of the afternoon on a 3-yard run. He raced over to the sideline to celebrate with tight end David Njoku, who in the previous quarter caught his own 5-yard touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson.

Then they called Watson over to get in on the fun, triumphantly raising each of his arms in the air.“It was the Squidward talent show when SpongeBob got all the love,” Hunt continued, “and they were throwing tomatoes and stuff at Squidward and stuff like that.
The show originally premiered in July of 1999, when Hunt was turning 4 years old and Njoku was turning 3., and it’s inspired three featured films as well as a Broadway Musical. For those that may live under a rock regarding children’s cartoons, the show revolves around the title character, an overly energetic and optimistic yellow sea sponge, and an ensemble his aquatic friends who live in the town of Bikini Bottom.
