Kanye West made his announcement on Twitter on Independence Day.
The 21-time Grammy award winner andtook to Twitter to make it as official as it can be given there are only four months until the actual election takes place. “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States,” West wrote on Independence Day 2020, using the hashtag “2020 vision.
in 2015, he said he was planning on running for president in 2020, though nothing much came of it. In November 2019, West seemed to have shifted his focus to running in 2024. “When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk” West
