Harry Kane has made a massive admission about being Bayern Munich’s club-record signing after the Bavarians paid €100 million (R2 billion) for his services.
In this past transfer window, the London native decided to call time on his career with Tottenham Hotspur as he traded life in the English capital to make the major move to the home of the Bavarian giants.
A week before the Bundesliga campaign kicked off, Die Roten paid the north Londoners a club-record fee for the forward and so far, it seems they are getting an immediate return on their investment as the 30-year-old marksman has already scored five goals in six games. This is what the England captain wanted for himself as, following his latest strike against Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League, he admitted that there is an expectation to perform at a world-class level whenever transfer fees such as his are shelled out by clubs.
"As a striker I know I'll get chances. It's exciting to play with them. We're still getting to know each other. I'm excited for what's to come," he told"Whenever there's a big price tag there's a big expectation and you want to repay the club who have put faith in you." Another team that had been rumoured to be interested in Kane earlier this year was the Red Devils. However, much like in the race for his signature, it was the Bavarian giants who came out on top with a 4-3 win on Wednesday.Speaking on the record Premier League champions after the match, he said:"They are going through a difficult spell with injuries. They have a lot of talent - you saw that in the last five minutes.
