“Vice President Biden, I do not believe you are a racist,” Sen. Kamala Harris said before attacking Biden over segregation

Biden grew heated, listing off his political work after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., contrasting his work as a public defender with Harris’s record as a tough-on-crime prosecutor, and his accomplishments alongsideto advance civil rights legislation. “The fact is that in terms of busing, the busing, I never—you would have been able to go to school the same exact way because it was a local decision made by your city council,” he shot back at Harris.
