VP Harris and her newly-named running mate are in Arizona as part of a tour of electoral battlegrounds ahead of the November election.
Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz made a speech to their supporters during a campaign rally in Glendale on Friday.The stop in Phoenix is part of an electoral battleground tour for Harris and her newly-chosen running mate. Doors at Desert Diamond Arena opened at 1:30 p.m, to those who are RSVPed for the event. A crows of over 15,000 people filled the area.
The senator is expected to remain a strong advocate for Harris, and is already mentioned for possible Cabinet posts or other prominent roles should Harris ascend to the Oval Office.When Gov. Walz took the stage, he was met with a loud applause. He spoke about his time serving the Army, his tenure as a high school social studies teacher and football coach, and his choice to get involved in politics to fight for the common good.
