She made these promises during a town hall meeting with Latino Americans, stating that her priority is to provide a humane and orderly process for undocumented immigrants to become citizens.

On October 10, she told the town hall meeting of Latino-Americans hosted by the Spanish-language TV station, Univision: And one of the big problems with failure to have a comprehensive immigration is that we have not given them the pathway to earn their right to citizenship. That is one of the priorities for me, frankly, in terms of my motivation for what I know we must do. I think it should compel us to agree they should not have to live in fear, but should have an ability to be on a pathway to earn their citizenship. So it is one of my priorities.the U.S.
