Bernie Sanders released a scathing critique of the Democratic Party and Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, following President-elect Donald Trump’s election victory.

“While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change,” he said. Sanders — who twice ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination — went on to indict the party for failing to address major economic, health care and foreign policy problems. The majority of Americans “are living paycheck to paycheck,” and “many young people will have a worse standard of living than their parents,” he said.Sanders, who is Jewish, also addressed the Biden administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war.

“Today, despite strong opposition from a majority of Americans, we continue to spend billions funding the extremist Netanyahu government’s all out war against the Palestinian people …”He continued: “Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party learn any real lessons from this disastrous campaign? ...
