Bob Dvorsky, a former longtime state senator, and his wife, Sue, a former Iowa Democratic Party chair, backed candidate Barack Obama in 2007 and Hillary Clinton in 2016.
The Dvorskys were awarded the Iowa Beacon award at Friday night’s Wing Ding, where the Democratic field presented their case to caucus voters during a weekend of activities surrounding the Iowa fair, a staple of presidential politicking.
Harris said in the release: “I am honored to have Bob and Sue on my team. They are a powerhouse duo who have done so much to elect Iowa Democrats for decades. Their guidance will be critical as we continue to build a campaign that takes our 3 AM Agenda across Iowa.”
