to NBC’s sketch comedy series on Saturday, where she got to take a moment to talk with Maya Rudolph, who has been playing Harris since season 50 kicked off in September.
The camera then cuts to a conversation between Rudolph’s Harris, Andy Samberg’s Doug Emhoff, Jim Gaffigan’s Tim Walz and Dana Carvey’s Joe Biden as they discuss their campaign. But Rudolph’s Harris later asks for a moment alone to prepare for her last campaign speech. That’s when she turns to look in the mirror and real-life Harris is sitting on the other side, looking back at her. “It is nice to see you Kamala,” the real-life Harris says. “And I’m just here to remind you, you got this because you can do something your opponent cannot do. You can open doors.”
