Vice President Kamala Harris accepted her party's presidential nomination on Thursday, as she delivered the most important speech of her political career. In a roughly 40 minute speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago's United Center, the vice president promised to 'be a president for all Americans.' 'I will be a president who unites us around our highest aspirations,' she pledged. 'A president who leads — and listens. Who is realistic. Practical.
And always fights for the American people.' She continued: 'There are people of various political views watching tonight. And I want you to know: I promise to be a president for all Americans.' In her remarks, Harris repeatedly mentioned former President Trump, the Republican nominee, and warned Americans against re-electing him. 'In many ways, Donald Trump is an unserious man,' the vice president argued.
