The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco shares details about a scary horse-riding accident just as she was starting the show. In the role of Penny as part of The Big Bang Theory, which is still hugely popular today, with another spinoff recently announced for the Max streaming service, Kuoco landed the part of a lifetime. She's since received widespread acclaim for her lead performance in The Flight Attendant, along with Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT While guesting on Apple's SmartLess podcast, Cuoco told hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett about a horrifying horse-riding accident that occurred early on during The Big Bang Theory. Cuoco details what happened and how she felt her bones cracking. But, thankfully she recovered and even notes that she has "some good scars.
“I remember clear as day, because it takes a second when something is that bad. I was like, ‘Did I just fall on a whole thing of leaves?’ Because I heard all the cracking. … It took me like five or 10 seconds to actually realize it wasn’t just 400 leaves, it was my bones. ... I’ve got some good scars. It makes you feel like a badass.”
After Big Bang Theory And Flight Attendant, Cuoco Has A New TV Role Cuoco's next TV project is Peacock's Based On A True Story. The series follows Ava and Nathan, played by Cuoco and The Mindy Project‘s Chris Messina, respectively, as they delve into the dangerous prospect with the hopes of capitalizing on the true crime craze and perhaps, also, saving their marriage in the process.
Along with Cuoco and Messina, the cast of Based On A True Story also includes Tom Bateman, Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, Alex Alomar Akpobome, Aisha Alfa, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, and Li Jun Li. Cuoco is also attached to the upcoming thriller film Role Play, which features an intriguing premise about a couple that sees their lives turned upside down when details are revealed about their past.
