Unionized workers, fresh off striking earlier this month, could return to the picket line at the start of November
Kaiser Permanente will lay off nearly 50 non-union workers in California — including 28 in the Bay Area — next month amid ongoing labor negotiations with unionized employees, according to state filings.
Kaiser said in a statement that the cuts are concentrated in its"Legal and Compliance group, a small number of IT jobs, such as systems administrators, and our employee services group, who assist employees with routine HR-related inquiries and transactions."" were made to the department's structure to expand support, advance service quality, and increase investment in technology," Kaiser said in a statement.
