Maritzburg United played under protest in a 1-1 draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in their final DStv Premiership fixture of the season on Tuesday. The result sees The Team of Choice move out of the relegation with their relegation rivals all playing on Saturday, in what Kadodia is highlighting as an unfair advantage as Chippa United and Marumo Gallants - in 16th and 15th position know what is required to avoid the drop.
"Look I don't have to repeat the situation, this has been an outcry that we have one person who owns a club and controlling day-to-day affairs of the league," Kadodia said."But all I can say here is the interest of the club is at stake, and this decision must come from an independent tribunal, and it doesn’t have to come from the acting CEO or other people who have an interest.
I mean, the acting CEO who owns a club, Golden Arrows are playing the last game of the season against Chippa, and we all know that."Firstly, we needed to place on record that we are quite upset and disappointed to have played this game tonight," Kadodia added."So we needed to show our disappointment that we were forced to play tonight."
