St. John's visited Seton Hall on Saturday night.
Kadary Richmond made his first appearance at Seton Hall since transferring to St. John's.And in the end, Richmond went for 12 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds to help lead St. John’s to a 79-51 blowout victory over his former team in his first appearance at Prudential Center since transferring from“Hope it was worth it, Kadary,” another yelled early in the game when Richmond scored four points on two quick layups in which he used his patented drive-right maneuver.
“Kadary had a beautiful homecoming and RJ was brilliant as well,” St. John’s coach Rick Pitino said of Luis who had 22 points and 8 rebounds. “We’ve very excited about the win.”The struggling Pirates played without Dylan Addae-Wusu and Yacine Toumi and have lost three straight and 9 of 11. Chaunce Jenkins left the game in the second half after scoring 3 points on 1-of-7 shooting. Isaiah Coleman led them with 11 points on 1-for-13 shooting and 6 boards.
“I feel like he’s going to go out there and play his game, and if that means he’s going to go out there and have 25, then he’s going to have 25,” St. John’s guard Brady Dunlap had said Friday.
