Authorities said a juvenile male was shot and killed during a car meetup event in Longmont Friday night
The shooting victim was found inside a car that had crashed into a pole outside the Twin Peaks Square Shopping Center, located at 800 South Hover, according to the Longmont Police Department.
Police were called to the area around 9 p.m. on a report of a shooting. Officers arrived to a large crowd of bystanders attending the meetup, the department said in a news release. The juvenile occupants associated with the suspect vehicle were questioned and released. But investigators said they have identified a suspect of interest and continue to follow up on leads.
