Police said the unidentified juvenile was arrested without incident on Wednesday.
The San Antonio Police Department arrested a teen accused of killing 17-year-old Kaitlin Hernandez and leaving her body in a drainage ditch in March. Police said investigators have made a capital murder arrest after a teen’s DNA was found on Hernandez. The teen, not identified because he is a juvenile, was last seen with Hernandez on March 12 when they went for a walk and she did not return. After not hearing from her for several hours, Hernandez’s family began searching for her.

Officers found her body nearby under a bridge in the 7600 block of Dell Oak. Hernandez appeared to have been dragged under the bridge, where she was sexually assaulted and strangled, police said. The male teen last seen with Hernandez was interviewed at the time of the incident, but there was not enough evidence to charge him with her death.
