The prime minister says that there's still much to be discussed
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made clear their plans to split their time between the UK and North America, withthat she intends to support their decision to spend at least some of their time in Canada. And now, the Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau has spoken out about the news.
The prime minister told Global News that most Canadians were"very supportive" of having the royals living in their country, but that"there are still lots of discussions to have over how that looks and what kind of costs are involved".The duchess is currently residing in Canada, having flown out shortly after the couple made their bombshell announcement last Wednesday. She is reportedly there with their young son Archie and the couple's two dogs.
