Things appeared to go off the rails early on Sunday for the Chicago Bears.
It certainly seemed to be one thing after another for the Bears’ offense, which entered Week 5 averaging 16 points per game, ranking among one of the lowest totals in the league.
While it looked as if that trend would continue Sunday, Fields and the Bears put together a quick touchdown drive to cut Minnesota’s lead to 21-10, which would hold as the score at halftime. Although the Bears continued to put points on the board in the second half — nine in the third quarter, and three in the fourth — it wasn’t enough to top the Vikings, who came away with a 29-22 victory.
