This Astros ice cream, only available to the Houston area, will be available in pint sizes and half-gallons while supplies last.
HOUSTON — H-E-B is introducing its Creamy Creations Houston Astros Peanut Brittle ice cream just in time for the new MLB season.
The peanut butter ice cream combined with peanut brittle pieces and a caramel swirl arrived in Houston-area stores just a week ago. Five percent of each ice cream purchase will be donated to the Astros Foundation, which focuses on supporting youth baseball and softball programs, reducing homelessness and raising awareness about childhood cancer.
“We are excited to work with our longstanding partner H-E-B to bring this sweet treat to Houstonians,” said Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Matt Brand. “Both H-E-B and the Astros are iconic brands in Houston and to be able to also use this project to give back to our Houston community through donation to the Astros Foundation, something we both are so passionate about, makes it even more exciting.
The carton for this exclusive ice cream is a tribute to the Astros’ home field, Minute Maid Park. It also features Astros mascot Orbit holding a cone of the very ice cream itself. “We’re thrilled to offer this limited-edition Astros-themed Creamy Creations flavor as the perfect pairing to launch the baseball season,” said Armando Perez, executive vice president in Houston. “In Houston, we all know H-E-B and the Astros are a winning combination. Let’s bring it home again in 2023.”
