Malacañang says it will check if PNP Chief Archie Gamboa did host a celebration in Baguio City over the weekend ahead of his retirement in September
Philippine National Police chief Archie Gamboa denied reports that he hosted a party in his home in Baguio City, saying he followed health protocols for an official visit.
"I don't know where the information came , but again, I vehemently deny that. There was no party at the chief PNP cottage in Baguio City," Gamboa said in a press briefing on Monday. "There was no party or concert. It was a dinner that ended at 9:30 p.m. Social distancing was strictly followed and the food was individually catered," the PNP official added.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Malacañang will inquire about these reports."We will check with General Gamboa if there was such a party. Number two,Roque added that President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to name Gamboa's successor before he vacates the top PNP seat next month. while Metro Manila was under general community quarantine.
