On Aug. 18, a Sheetz employee discovered quite the suspicious situation involving a man with a machete sleeping in the dining area of the Cascade Crossing store.He was arrested and held for transfer. As for the Parma man’s machete and bike, they were entered into property for safekeeping.On Aug. 18, police were dispatched to I-71 regarding an unoccupied vehicle located in the southbound side of the highway.
An arriving officer said the 2006 Kia not only had a flat tire but was also bearing a fictitious license plate.On Aug. 18, police were dispatched to Walmart after an employee observed customers attempting to steal from the Brookpark Road store. An arriving officer talked to the caller, who said two women switched UPC stickers when checking out.They were cited for shoplifting.On Aug. 18, a Best Buy employee called police after discovering a man received $799 for fraudulently returning an Apple Watch.On Aug. 18, police were dispatched to DTLR Villa regarding a theft complaint at the Ridge Road store.They actually took a photo of the driver and his license plate.
