Michael Pillarella, 28, of Manahawkin, was found guilty of manslaughter and assault by auto in connection with the deadly crash, according to a statement from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. Pillarella was driving a 2017 Hyundai Elantra north on Radio Road in town on Jan. 30, 2021 at about 9:45 p.m. when he lost control of his car on a curve, crossed over the center line and struck a southbound Toyota XB, the office said.
