A new video showcases a scientifically-accurate remake of the iconic Jurassic Park kitchen scene, featuring feathered Deinonychus instead of the traditionally depicted Velociraptors.

Jurassic Park has received scientifically-accurate raptors in an impressive remake video, which replaces the Velociraptor s in its famous kitchen scene. Raptors are some of the most well-known dinosaurs in the franchise, sporting scaly designs in almost every movie, with one, Blue, becoming a core character in the first Jurassic World trilogy. Due to their popularity, the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth will likely feature them once again.

However, their reptilian designs aren't accurate to what real raptors looked like, as the actual dinosaurs had feathers, making them more akin to birds. Now, CoolioArt has created a video replacing the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park with more scientifically-accurate raptors, showcasing the models in the movie's famous kitchen scene. As specified in the description, these new versions are large Deinonychus, which was their original classification in Michael Crichton's original novel. Tim's (Joseph Mazzello) dialogue is even changed to reflect this with a text-to-speech voiceover. The raptors themselves are impressive, sporting black feathers and piercing, blue-white eyes as they hunt for Tim and Lex (Ariana Richards). They look realistic enough to belong in the film itself, thanks to CoolioArt creating the models in Blender and using After Effects for final composites. Highlights include a feathered Deinonychus tail toppling objects on a counter, lighting reflective of the original, and even the new raptors appearing accurately in reflections on various surfaces. Check out CoolioArt's full video below: CoolioArt also has another video of scientifically-accurate raptors cornering the main characters at the end of Jurassic Park. What The Impressive Raptor Video Says About Jurassic Park's Dinosaurs They Aren't As Scientifically Accurate As They Could Be Close The dinosaur franchise has attempted to make raptors more scientifically-accurate before, adding some feathers to a few raptors in Jurassic Park II
