Junta tentera Niger minta bantuan Wagner Afrika LUARNEGARA TERKINI
NIAMEY: Ketua tentera yang melakukan rampasan kuasa di Niger meminta bantuan daripada tentera upahan Russia, kumpulan Wagner ketika ‘tarikh akhir’ untuk mereka membebaskan presiden yang disingkir semakin hampir.
Permintaan itu dibuat ketika Ketua Tentera Niger, Jeneral Salifou Mody mengunjungi Mali dan menghubungi wakil Wagner. “Mereka perlukan Wagner kerana pasukan pejuang upahan itu boleh menjadi ‘penjamin’ kepada kedudukan kuasa mereka,” kata Wassin. Barisan menteri pertahanan dari Kesatuan Afrika dan Komuniti Ekonomi Negara-negara Afrika Barat sudah pun bersetuju untuk menggerakkan pasukan tentera mereka ke Niger selepas pasukan mediasi yang dihantar ke negara itu tidak dibenarkan dengan pemimpin tentera.
