While the joy and happiness in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe after the defeat of Sukuna are undeniable, the victory is far from complete. As long as humanity harbors negative emotions, the threat of curses will persist. With the chaos and turmoil caused by Kenjaku and Sukuna’s efforts to usher in a"New Age of Sorcery," a new leader is needed to rally the forces of jujutsu, and one individual has emerged as the undeniable"strongest".
With Gojo, Sukuna, & Kenjaku Gone, Yuji Is Jujutsu Kaisen's Strongest Yuji Has Risen Through the Flames of the Battle Against Sukuna Close In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter #11, Gojo specifically identified Yuji as having the potential to be"as good as me someday." The fact that he mentored Yuji as his disciple speaks volumes about his faith in his potential. However, at the time Gojo made this claim, it seemed almost laughable.
Throughout the saga, Yuji has managed to acquire some of the most overpowered cursed techniques ever used by a sorcerer or curse. From his half-brother Choso, he learned and adapted the ability of blood manipulation — the power to weaponize his own blood. Through his training to fight Sukna, he mastered what is arguably the most broken cursed technique: Reverse Curse Technique, a literal self-revive that allows him to quickly heal otherwise fatal injuries.
However, it must be said that Yuta came out of the battle against Sukuna a lot worse than Yuji did. He basically died twice, surviving both times only by the tiniest margin. Yuta had to pull off many dangerous stunts, including transplanting his brain into Gojo's body, and while he seems alive and well in chapter #269 of Jujutsu Kaisen, there is no telling what long-term consequences this will have on his body.
