Dorothy’s magical ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland and a menacing Wicked Witch hat worn by Margaret Hamilton during the filming of “The Wizard of Oz” are officially up for auction.
Judy Garland was just a teenager when she starred as Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas battling the Wicked Witch of the West alongside a trio of unlikely friends, in the 1939 Hollywood classic “The Wizard of Oz.' Both the movie and L. Frank Baum's children's books, which 'The Wizard of Oz' film was based on, helped inspire Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Her second husband was Jack Haley Jr., the son of actor Jack Haley who played the Tin Man in 'The Wizard of Oz.' Liza Minnelli, who has no children, is the subject of the upcoming documentary, “Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story,” with a release slated for January 2025.
