Williams, who kidnapped a newborn from a Florida hospital two decades ago and raised the child as her own, was sentenced Friday to 18 years for kidnapping. She will also serve five years concurrently on a charge of custody interference. It looks like Gloria Williams won’t be getting out of jail anytime soon.

Despite being reunited with her birth parents, though, Mobley continued to call Williams “mother” and insisted she was not a bad person. And, recently, she reportedly petitioned the court to have Williams’ sentence cut in half from 18 years to nine years with nine years probation.
