Bryan Kohberger appears at the Ada County Courthouse, for his sentencing hearing, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Boise, Idaho, for stabbing four University of Idaho students to death nearly three years ago.

Bryan Kohberger has been ordered to pay an additional $3,000 in restitution to two of the victims' families. Judge Hippler heard argument in court last week as to why Kohberger should not have to pay the additional funeral-related costs, saying he already has no ability to pay more than $300,000 in fines and fees from the criminal case that resulted in him pleading guilty to murdering Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves. The $3,000 in restitution will cover urns for two of the families, though it is a long way short of the initial $27,000 prosecutors had asked for. Defense attorneys successfully argued that most of that amount was for expenses not covered by restitution in Idaho, including travel and hotels. Prosecutor Bill Thompson removed the additional expenses, leaving the $3,000, which was approved Thursday by Judge Hippler.Kohberger has been sentenced to four consecutive life sentences, which he is serving in the Idaho Maximum Security prison south of Boise.KERR COUNTY, Texas — Five more families who lost their daughters after the July 4 floods have joined a lawsuit against Camp Mystic.that includes the parents ofPresident Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he will give a $2,000 check to every American, which will come from the tariff revenue collected.SAN ANTONIO - A man was able to fend of four attackers armed with a hammer and a bottle as they tried to force their way into his home Friday night. It happenedBEXAR COUNTY, Texas — Bexar County deputies are searching for a missing woman last seen on Monday.According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old AnSAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Police Officer’s Association is openly questioning the leadership of Chief William McManus in the wake or the Melissa Perez trial,
