SHANGHAI: A mother in southern China has caused public outrage by assaulting a salesperson and biting a security guard after her son was caught stealing a cup of milk tea.
KUALA LUMPUR: The US$346mil lawsuit filed by 1Malaysia Development Bhd against Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor over the alleged purchase of luxury goods from 1MDB 's monies will be heard before a different judge.
"After considering the application, I agree to recuse myself from hearing this suit on the principle that justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done. Justice Adlin said she was in charge of the corporate division when she was with the law firm Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill , while all affairs related to 1MDB were handled by the legal division.
The plaintiffs claimed that Rosmah had used the funds from the companies to purchase luxury items such as jewellery, watches and handbags.
