The sentencing was postponed in order to allow time for more filings from both Trump’s defense team and prosecutors. Trump’s lawyers said the case should be dismissed outright since it would interfere with his presidential obligations. Trump was convicted in May of falsifying business records to hide a chain of payments that provided $130,00 to porn star Stormy Daniels.
