A New York judge ordered former Trump lawyer RudyGiuliani to deliver testimony to a Fulton County grand jury on Aug. 9.
Guiliani, who was subpoenaed earlier this month, failed to attend a New York court hearing on the matter last week or adequately explain why he was not a"necessary and material witness" for investigators, according to Judge Thomas Farber of the New York Supreme Court.
The onetime personal lawyer for former President Donald Trump had sought to quash the subpoena against him that demanded he appear for testimony before the special grand jury for the Fulton County inquiry into whether crimes were committed during the 2020 election in Georgia. The inquiry has scrutinized the machinations of Trump and his allies following the election.
