SAN ANTONIO — There’s been a years-long battle over demolishing the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs. The site where 26 people lost their lives back in 2017.
Monday's hearing comes nearly seven years after 26 people were killed during a mass shooting at First Baptist Church. In 2021, church members voted to tear down former First Baptist Church. Some survivors were not in favor of that and filed a temporary restraining order to block the demolition from happening.
