Prime Minister Boris Johnson has arrived ahead of the royals for a thanksgiving service at St Paul's Cathedral.
There will be a reception at the Guildhall after the service, featuring a new anthem by Master of the Queen's Music Judith Weir. Royal commentator Omid Scobie said that Meghan and Harry hoped to be as"low-profile as possible" during their trip to the UK. More than 400 people such as key workers, charity volunteers and armed forces members will be at the cathedral in recognition of their contribution to public life. Eve Hannaford, who is outside the cathedral with her husband Simon, told Ratcliffe:"We've not been here long, only since 7am!"We're here because it's to celebrate the Queen and want to thank her. It's something we've got to maintain.Simon added:"I'm here because my wife made me."
He said church members would be"celebrating" Her Majesty and also"praying for her" during the service today.
