CBS has released new photos for the FBI season 7 winter premiere, confirming that Jubal Valentine (Jeremy Sisto) is back on duty after his suspension.
CBS ' new update effectively spoils Jubal's ( Jeremy Sisto ) fate in FBI after his suspension. Jubal has been an integral part of the FBI 's New York Field Office since the procedural's premiere. However, his fate was left up in the air after he overstepped to protect his son from potential misdemeanor charges in 'Pledges,' leading to speculation about whether Jubal was leaving FBI .
Jubal's dilemma came at the end of the outing episode when the team was investigating the murder of a Hudson University student during a protest related to immigration policy. While on campus, Jubal discovered that Tyler (Caleb Reese Paul) had been arrested for trespassing along with several other protesters. Jubal didn't want Tyler's criminal record to impact his future dream of becoming an FBI agent, so he pressured a cop to let Tyler go. Later, Isobel (Alana de La Graza) suspended Jubal pending an investigation, making it seem Jubal might leave the FBI season 7 cast. Jubal apologized to Isobel, though it wasn't clear whether he would be back permanently. However, Jubal appears in CBS teaser photos for FBI season 7 winter premiere, which makes it clear that the suspension storyline is finished. The photos suggest he will be assisting Scola in an episode that features a mini-crossover from FBI: Most Wanted's Nina Chase (Shantel Van Santen). FBI season 8 will return January 28, 2025 and revolve around a terrorist attack that leaves an assistant US attorney dead.
