It is nighttime, emergency lights of police cars flashing blue, red and white in the backgroundJACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported a woman shot in the head during a relationship dispute in the Duclay Forest area at 6900 Ortega Woods Dr.The victim, an adult female, was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the head.
The shooting was reportedly due to a domestic dispute between two women who lived in the same residence over a man who they were both in a relationship with. According to JSO, the dispute escalated and led to the victim being shot. The suspect is now in police custody.
