It’s not every day that officers Mike Hubbard and Brandon Magyar along with Sgt. Jordan Busque get called to rescue a kitten trapped in a storm drain on St. Johns Avenue. The officer said they could hear the kitten calling for help from the storm drain. The officers opened another drain cover but the sound of them pulling the cover off scared the kitten into running further down the pipe.
“I shined my flashlight down there. I could see his little eyes. I had no idea that it was a kitten. I thought it was an adult cat that was stuck in there. I see these tiny little eyes in the storm drain,” Busque said.Busque said she turned off her flashlight and started playing cat noises on her phone to lure the cat closer.
