Summary The JSA, the first superhero team and a precursor to the Justice League, has unveiled their awesome new roster. DC has announced a slew of exciting new titles at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, as well as the return of superstar creator Jeff Lemire to the fold. He will be writing not only a new Flash title, but a new Justice Society as well, with an exciting new lineup.
The Justice Society were trailblazers. By the early 1940s, DC Comics had an extensive stable of characters, all starring in their own solo adventures. DC editor Sheldon Mayer and legendary writer Gardner Fox came up with the idea to bring them all together, into one team, and thus the Justice Society was born. Their arrival led to a seismic shift in the comics landscape, as the concept of a superhero team was born.
